We are like wine & cheese...We get better with time

I have been blessed with some truly wonderful women in my life - also called my bridesmaids! There are truly no words to describe how much each and every one of them means to me...So I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Maid of Honor: Aimee Dobbins

We have seriously known eachother FOREVER....going all the way back to Christmas Plays at Colonial Manor Assembly of God. (That's us in the red and blue towards the end)

And of course, we went through our awkward stages together....clearly I was way more odd than she. But I guess that's why I am Lucy in this Ethel-Lucy relationship.

And, of course we went to Christian concerts together!!...and posed very awkward-stagey. We were going to a Katinas concert in this one :)

And since we have absolutely no recent photos together, I have taken the liberty of looking into the future.

Bridesmaid: Mellisa Humphries

Mellisa is my cousin (the cutie on the left) and another who I do not really have any recent photos of. We also grew up together and shared our secrets by the pool at my grandpa's house. Referred to as "the girls" by our grandma, we had sleepovers, laughed together, ate together, swam together....it was fun growing up with her. Now she is the wonderful mother of 2 beautiful boys :)

...o and we cant really dance - so this whole wedding thing should be interesting.

Bridesmaid: Tierra Pineda

Another cutie cousin of mine! Tierra is entering high school this year and I can still remember her as a little baby dancing in front of the television. She is so fun and so stinking beautiful! Love her!

Ocean City, NJ at the photo booth
with her and my bro a few years ago!
We had so much fun on that trip :)

Bridesmaid: Laura Perez

This is my twin and one of the loves of my life! Laura is so beautiful, funny and talented.  This woman can sing and make me laugh so hard!!! We have had our share of AMAZING times together - whether it's making ridiculous videos, having impromptu photo shoots or just talking about God and life. I have missed her so much these past few years and am so excited to see her in a couple weeks!

Just a little taste of us. By the way, this is the last time we saw eachother.

O and that photoshoot I mentioned! haha

Bridesmaid: Kat Steele

No words can really describe Kat - she is an amazing and unique, talented, beautiful and caring individual. (She's the redhead in the photo) I could not have done high school without her and definately wouldn't have as many fun memories. She is truly a best friend and has been there for me through it all - boyfriends, breakups, best friend moping and nap time, shopping, dances, she's covered for me...and the list goes on.

Above - Dorney Park a LONG time ago
Below - Last sumer :)

Bridesmaid: Hallie Kilavos

Hallie is like this unexpected wonderful gift of a friend. We have known eachother for about 3 years and we were just aquaintances for a while, but this year being suitemates (you know, sharing a toilet, shower, mirrors, sometimes beds...all that good stuff) really brought us closer. We have grown so close and this year just would not have been the same without her jokes, encouragement, advice and more :)

Here's us when we first met.

And when she and some other AWESOME friends threw me a lingerie party.

And at my surprise b-day party this year :)

...And I cannot forget about some other pretty Amazing women in my life -
My grandmas and mama.

Who have been there for me even when I looked like this (haha) :

VIDEO!

Here's my attempt at video blogging!!!

Warning: I am not very exciting haha

Soooo... the hair/makeup trial did not go as planned, though I absolutely loved the stylist. She was so wonderful and funny! BUT, I may actually wind up doing my own hair and makeup.

Much Needed Blog

Well, things are happening rather quickly around here lately and we only have about a month to go! Since I last wrote, wedding plans have been falling into place. Here's a list of what has happened:

-Jonathan and I phone conferenced with DJ Paul (this was definately an experience for Jon because of how "east coast" our DJ is)
-My mom and I met with our photographer TG Anderson at this cute restaurant in Philly...and of course I walked out of the house with 2 different sandals in my hands

(...yep I did that and was not even surprised)

-Bridesmaids dresses are now basically complete
-Jon's wedding band has been ordered and he should be getting it in the mail today! (so he can try it on)...it has a special engraving that I hope he loves
-9 boxes of lights and many pounds of heavy wood later...and decorations are almost complete

There will be real flowers the day of, but I just wanted to get an idea of what it will look like

The centerpieces are basically 3 bottles/jars on a wood slab

The table numbers will be inserted in a notch (we still have to cut this) in the wood pieces

My dad spent many hours cutting the wood for me yesterday. Thanks Dad!! :)

-I spray painted some glass vases to make them look like brass for the front of the ceremony

Vases and spraypaint courtesy of Walmart. The spraypaint used is by Rust-Oleum and is the multi-colored textured spray in the Brass color.
-Jon has also been doing some wedding work of his own such as:

Missing me

And testing out his nifty bow-tie

-Yesterday, Kat and I picked out some super cute peach nail polish for the brides maids

As you can see, I still have spray pain primer all over my legs!

-We have also succeeded in selecting a flower girl dress for Addison (David's Bridal)

Stinkin adorable!

Well, thats all for now - I'll be back soon with more updates! :)

One step at a time

Jonathan and I and our families have had a lot to do and steadily been getting stuff done. We are proud to say the invitations have been sent out!!! AND we already recieved our first RSVP card back!

My dress also came in which is sooooo exciting!!! Too bad you can't see that until August ;)

I have also been taking advantage of my time off to get soe decoration crafting and shopping done. I used some yarn, wood and nails to make this cute gift tabe accent:

I got the idea from GreenWeddingShoes - Such a good wedding website!!

I also bought some bistro lights at Target and tested them out in my room. This was even more exciting than I though it would be!

(dont mind the mess on my bed)

Also, In other news....We have a finished bridesmaid dress

And it is beautiful! Thanks Kaitlyn!!!!

Jonathan has also been a busy bee trying to pull together his cute outfit. Here are some of his picks:

I know he will look mighty spiffy!!!

Among all these wedding plans, it is really important for us to keep growing as a couple and in our relationship with God. We are currently reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan:
