Yesterday I officially turned in my housing papers to move in with Jon in August! So crazy and exciting!

My mom told me about "The Carriage House" at Rockwood Park in Wilmington, Delaware. Here is what the inside looks like:

I love the rustic feel of this place and the wooden chairs!!! It also looks like they have an outdoor area with a tent.

I almost teared up today thinking about this place because this past winter my best friend, Aimee and I adventured to Rockwood for a photoshoot. We were so excited we almost walked in on some wedding photos in the walled garden outside of the Carriage House and in true Lucy and Ethel fashion (thats us!) we proceeded to spy on the wedding party over the high wall asking questions like...

What are her colors?

What does her dress look like?

Giggle :)

I love my best friend!

Dresses! Planning!

My mom is so amazing. She has set an amazing example for me throughout life and been there for me forever...even through my mean, mean middle school years.

She cracks me up too! I was on the phone with her on saturday, talking about how Jon and I would like to plan the wedding for August (which apparently is INCREDIBLY soon in wedding time). She was asking me all types of questions....

Bridesmaids?

Where?

When?....

and then we came to the FOOD, and honestly I have no clue what kind of food we want at our wedding. So I said, "Well, I don't want pizza and I don't think I want Chinese food at my wedding."

Mom says "Okay Elisa, let me try to focus you. What do want people to remember about your wedding?"

All of a sudden she was the weddin planner from Bride Wars! I loved it. I would be lost without her.

On a different note, I tried on dresses for the first time on Sunday. My mom really wanted to be there so I made her a video/slide show (that apparently made her cry!). It was unreal to try on the white dresses evry girl dreams about. I felt like a princess and I cannot wait until Jon sees me walking down the aisle.

Spending the afternoon in the doctor's office yesterday was no fun, but having Jon to comfort me while I was being a crybaby really helped. He was so good to me, playing Mr. nurse, cooking me soup and giving me medicine.

And to top it off he brought me medicine at 8:30 this morning!

This is a BIG deal to anyone who knows how much he loves his sleep.

I have had a great fully blessed life, but this past year has been the best yet so far! From the first time I laid eyes on Elisa I knew something was different about her. I have never been so nervous to approach a girl in my entire life, but thank God I did. I told my friend Alex that I was gonna WOO and PURSUE this one! I am so excited to marry my best friend and love of my life. I could not imagine life without her! (pic is when we first started hanging out)

Once Upon a Time...

How did it happen?

Well, once upon a time a boy name Jonathan met a girl named Elisa at the gym. He was all like, "Man, I'm so buff I can't even stand it.."

....KIDDING!!!!

His first words to me were "Man, I am so out of shape!" And I suppose we just took it from there. I may have been a little ridiculous at first, trying to decide if all this was worth the risk. I decided it was and I decided I loved (and love) him.
