Registry?...CHECK

Well, this past Saturday we officially registered for our wedding gifts at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. The experience was a bit frazzling, and my mom was probably right when she said we should've made a list. But that day we were just winging it alot like we do our dates sometimes. No plan is sometimes the best plan :)

Anyway...first we went to BB&B and registered for all sorts of things - cutting boards, hampers, sheets, a juicer....throw pillows of course. We had a lovely assistant to help us go through the store with the scanning gun (which Jon was in charge of) and select the best items for our home and I think we did a pretty good job. Next, we went across the street to Target filled out all our information and scanned some more! Jon registered for an Ipad and TV (clearly a guy and clearly a marketing major) :)

This was such a fun experience, and I would have never wanted to do it with anyone other than him. We were both completely pooped at the end of the night.

My mom, of course was one of the first people to comment on the photo on facebook:

Mom: Hope you are practical about this.

Mom: Towels?

Mom: Pots and pans?

Jonathan: Well I did scan a Big screen TV! lol

I LOVE HER :)....and yes, now we have pots and pans registered for.

Bridesmaid Proposals-Let the Crafting Begin

Well, I finally proposed to my Bridesmaids!! I love you Laura, Tierra, Melissa, Hallie and Kat!!! Maid of Honor Proposal to come :)

Contracts and Plans. Proposals and Menus.

Three weeks until graduation and exactly 4 months until our wedding! We finally settled on a date this Tuesday and I just could not stop smiling. It seems uber real now. We settled on the Carriage House (the place I mentioned earlier) for August 12, 2012. This gives us 4 months to shop, craft, plan and primp.

I am so excited to spend this time with my Mommy and the rest of my family. We are going to go wedding dress shopping when we get back to Delaware from graduation. I asked her where we should go and she said "We can go everywhere." haha Let me tell you, that sounds great to me.

Jonanthan and I have a ton to do between now and then. We looked at the menu last night and he said "Man we are getting a WEDDING" We are seriously so blessed. The food looks and sounds so amazing and I am so grateful for the huge sacrifice my parents are making by paying for this. They have shown such grace and selflessness. God is so good and has taught me so much already through this process. He has taught me that He alone is God and has wild and beautiful plans and perfect timing. He has taught me to trust in Him ALONE....not my own plans and skills that I think I have. He has taught me that He can take away and He can return blessings.
